Graduation, Guest List 

 Ticket/Guest List Information 

Entry to Benaroya is by Guest List only. 

• All guests must be on the Graduation Guest List to enter. 
• Guests must bring picture ID for Benaroya Security/Guest List admission.
• The venue will not accept more than 11 guests per graduate family.
• Please plan accordingly.
• Families are responsible for editing their own guest list and must save their edit link.
• The Guest list will open Jan 1, 2026. You may access the from on January 1 HERE: Seattle Prep Graduation Guest List – Fill out form
• Edits will close May 24, 2026

 

Graduate attire:   

• Graduates must have a graduation cap and gown. Please steam iron gowns on low heat before the ceremonies.   

• Suggested attire: dress slacks, dresses, or skirts, and dress shirts.  

• Dress shoes recommended. No flip flops. Sneakers should be clean and in good condition. Graduates will be negotiating a steep aisle and stairs. Please consider this when selecting shoes. Lower heels are strongly encouraged. Students who plan to wear heels should bring their shoes to the rehearsal.  

• We will provide National Honor Society students with a gold cord to wear.   

• Students may wear leis.  

• Any cap decorations must be tasteful and two dimensional. Decorations may not stick up or dangle down from the cap.   

Graduation Ceremony Event Information   

• Doors open at 6:30PM.   
• Graduates must arrive in the Benaroya Lobby by 6:30PM and be backstage by 6:45PM sharp.   
• Graduates must bring Prep ID for Benaroya Security.
• Guests must be seated by 7:20PM. Anyone arriving after this time will be instructed to wait in the lobby until after the graduates have processed.  
• ADA accessible seating and assistance for those with mobility needs will be available. Benaroya staff will be on hand to assist those with mobility needs and show people to accessible seating. If you or someone in your party needs assistance, please arrive at the lobby prior to doors opening and approach a Benaroya staff member.  
• Guests should remain at their seats throughout the ceremony and may not come into the aisles to take photographs.    

• Helium balloons are NOT permitted in Benaroya Hall.   

• Graduates are NOT permitted to throw their caps in Benaroya Hall due to the intricate sound equipment.   
• We suggest you take personal family and graduate photos prior to the ceremony as the lobby will be very crowded after graduation.   
• We suggest you plan a meeting spot to connect with your graduate after the ceremony. The lobby will be quite crowded and hard to navigate.   

• Graduates will not receive their diploma at the ceremony. They will be handed their diploma cover during the ceremony. Diplomas will be mailed home mid-June. If your student does not receive their diploma in the mail by late June, contact the Academics office. 

• A professional photographer will take individual photos of graduates when they receive their diploma. Here is how parents can pre-order their photos starting immediately:
