School Counseling

Seattle Prep School Counseling provides comprehensive personal, academic, and wellness support services that embody Cura Personalis, caring for the whole person.  

School Counselors at Prep foster a safe environment to help support students as they transition into high school and throughout all four years. Students are assigned a counselor in the freshman year and remains with his/her respective counselor for the entire four years, allowing for a personal relationship to develop. Students will also be assigned a College Counselor beginning junior year.

Care Solace is an organization that Seattle Prep has partnered with to support students and their families in getting connected with over 350,000 verified mental health/substance use treatment providers in the community at no cost to you. Students and their families can be connected by their School Counselor or you can get connected by clicking here or by calling (1-888-515-0595) 24/7/365.

Forefront in the Schools

Seattle Prep is a partner with Forefront in the Schools, a center for excellence at the University of Washington, to implement a comprehensive approach to mental health promotion and suicide prevention. This includes training for teachers, school counselors, students and parents and provides supportive linkages to community-based mental health services.   

OneLove

OneLove is an organization focused on educating young individuals about healthy and unhealthy relationships in an effort to raise awareness and prevent relationship violence. Seattle Prep has partnered with OneLove to provide workshops that offer our students a comprehensive education on healthy relationships and relationship violence. These workshops, led by peers and supported by the Counseling Department, help students to recognize the signs of healthy and unhealthy relationships and how to navigate difficult situations that may arise.
